In every field of work that Lily has undertaken, she has given 110% commitment and effort to represent the views and needs of ordinary people.
Prior to entering Parliament Lily represented vast numbers of women in the services industry in areas including Occupational Health and Safety, as Women’s Officer and Organiser with the Australian Services Union. This approach to serving the local community was extended to Lily’s work as an electorate officer.
Lily has been proud to represent the people of Mill Park as their elected representative since the 2002 election.
In particular Lily is proud of having the opportunity to work with members of the community to deliver the $4 million redevelopment of Farm Vigano in South Morang and the then State Labor Government's announcement to help fund a new fish-net manufacturing plant in Sri Lanka in response to the devastation wrought by the Tsunami.
Local schools, health services and transport have also been significantly improved in the local area.
