State Secretary: Noah Carroll

I’ve loved every moment of my time so far with the Victorian ALP. Over the last decade, I have been actively engaged as a member of the Macedon Ranges branch of the Labor Party in community campaigns, local elections, Federal and State polls, Party policy formation and internal elections. It’s allowed me to make great friends and do something meaningful to help make Victoria a better place to live.
Before becoming State Secretary, I worked at the Victorian ALP's Head Office in Melbourne as Assistant Secretary from September 2009. Before that, I worked as a senior adviser to then Victorian Treasurer John Lenders and in turn his colleague the Gaming and Consumer Affairs minister Tony Robinson. I have also had series of electorate officer roles.In the midst of all this, I served as the Deputy Mayor of my local Council, the Macedon Ranges Shire Council from 2003 to 2005. I continue to be a member of my local CFA and a proud Union member.
After school I was lucky enough to continue studying before commencing work.
I completed a Masters of International Business and Management at Monash University, a Bachelor of Arts at Melbourne University and a Negotiation and Project Management Program at Harvard and Adelaide universities respectively.
I was born, bred, raised and still live in regional Victoria. I am absolutely determined to keep Victorian Labor active and engaged in every town, suburb and community across our great state.
There's nothing quite like the serenity and splendour of country Victoria and beyond. In my spare time, you can often find me in obscure parts of the bush. If you do see me standing next to a clapped out car in the bush, stop and say hi. There’s a good chance the car’s broken down and I’m stranded. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had to rely on friendly locals to help me get back home.
That sense of community and the unconquerable optimism that you see in even the most battling parts of the Australian bush is what really inspired me into politics, public service and Labor in the first place. I stay involved because I have:
■ Confidence we can do better in addressing society's challenges by working together;
■ Belief that equal opportunity for all our people is not only just but can make us an infinitely more productive place; and
■ Passion that politics is the best way to shape our nation’s destiny.
If you're reading this, I figure you're already interested in making Victoria
a better place. So I’d like to make you an offer.
Get in touch with me. Tell me what’s important to you and what you’d like to see improved in Victoria. Find out what the ALP is doing about it. You can call me at the ALP on (03) 9933 8500 or send me an email .
There’s never a better time to take that first step.
Yours sincerely
